I want your voices!

I have decided to turn my story I was working on into a Sims movie! I will need some talented voice actors to help me out. I have ideas of how I want the voices to sound. You will have to be able to record yourself without any background noises at all and be able to dedicate time to this of course. I wont be too demanding as just shooting it and editing it will take forever, but I think it will come out great!

I will be taking applications for whatever character you want to try out for. To do so I will put the name of each character, a brief description, and what I want you to say in the voice you think would fit the character. Each person will be credited for their voice and talents of course. Please send me an mp3 file of just your voice, or post it to youtube and give me the link. I may need one or two people to be able to do more then one character depending on how many minor characters jump into the scene. I think it will be great fun and I am looking forward to working with some talented people!


For now those are the three main voices I need for the three main characters. More will come up as the story progresses. Here is the "script" for each character that the person trying out for must say when they send me their voice.

Dierdre--- (saddened and defeated) I am a freak.... A monster... How could he do this to me? How could he let such a thing happen? If this gets out, I wont be safe from anyone! Here I am, the heir to the throne, sworn to do the right thing, and how can I ever preach the right thing to anyone when I was born wrong? How can I uphold our laws when my very existence breaks them? Who will stand by me if this gets out? Defedos is the only other person that knows, and he's about as trusting as a starving dragon.

Councilman Defedos--- (trying to seduce, still dark in how he talks) Ah princess. So good to see you out and about on such a lovely night. Out for a stroll, or looking for some company? I daresay you will find no better companion then I, since I am the only one that does not condemn you for being what you are. If anything, I find it intriguing. You have an unmatched beauty, charm, and wit, so graciously bestowed upon you by your mother before her leave. You should embrace all she was, and all you are now. You could be the start of a new generation, and a new world within Realm. With me by your side, we could unlock the power you have within you and be an unstoppable team.....

High King Sardon--- (telling his tale to Dierdre) Your mother, was the only woman I ever loved. She was a beautiful woman, and bewitching in every way. She had more power over a man in her little finger then any woman I had known. She could have had any man in the world, yet she chose me. We met in secret, due to my being King, I didn't want the council to know of her and I, for they'd force us to marry. I didn't want that for her. I wanted to marry her, believe me, but she was a free spirit, and I could never chain her down for my own selfish reasons. We had many happy years together, and still no one had a clue. Then one day she came to me and said she was pregnant with you. I was overjoyed, but she was scared for your safety. She was scared both sides would reject you, and kill you. She was scared for all of our safety.You see, not only was our union forbidden, it was barbaric to both sides.

Please state your screen name (and real name if you wish to have that added as well) before you begin speaking. Also say which part you are trying out for, then say your lines. Good luck and I hope to get lots of people interested in doing this!

What a fun idea! I never even though about this for my movie - I figured it would just be their similish jibberjab with my "translation" underneath lol.

I'm 20 years old, and I probably sound like a 12 year old. That's how it seems to me, at least, when I hear my voice on recordings lol. So, not sure if that's something you'd want for your female character. And I'm not very good at voice acting, like changing it and stuff. But, I'll try anyways to help get you going

If you get any other female characters that I'd fit better for, let me know. In the mean time, I'll work on the script for the one you do have.

Oh and the similish translation sounds cool! You could make it funny like how they say a bunch of similish and all you translate is "yes" or something.

i don't know much about recording, so ill probably just record a video and upload it on youtube. i'm assuming i can block out the camera, but if not, oh well, you'll get to see my lovely face xD lol

Yes you can block the camera by putting something over it, even chewing gum! Haha!! Can't wait to hear it.

You'll need your volume to it's max on this (at least I did!). For some reason, it's really REALLY quiet, and I couldn't figure out how to higher the mic volume. I did it right from youtube, so maybe that's why. If you need to, I can try again on my computer first then upload it from there.

I will let you know my decision after I get more people to (hopefully) try out, but I do like your voice. Just have to find a way to clear the the sound a bit so it doesn't sound like you are talking into a microphone. I have the same problems unfortunately with my mic.
