Lol, well I want an imac and they're super expensive and not portable. but a mac laptop thing would be cool. i was thinking an alienware though, they're like gamer ones aren't they?
Re: Best laptop for gameplay with all expansions and stuff packs?
Apparently the Alienware computers are overpriced and your basically paying for a brand name? Oh, and also there are rumors of new MacBooks coming out this year, but if course these are just rumors

thanks, i'll take a look. i am looking to get a mac though cause i've had enough of windows! they're rubbish compared to mac and you get much more for your money. plus they last longer!
Re: Best laptop for gameplay with all expansions and stuff packs?
Remember don't buy a computer with a built in graphics chipset or you'll be playing at the lowest settings!
Examples are Intel HD Graphics and Intel GMA Graphics. Also the ATI Radeon 4200 (I think)
Also, if your considering buying a MacBook remember you need one with a disk drive! Even if you have all your games registered on Origin, you won't be able to play as Origin isn't yet supported by Mac's. You would end up having to repurchase the digital copies of ALL on a website/program that is supported by Mac's.
So to recap:
Buy a laptop with a proper graphics card and not an intergrated graphics card.
Only purchase a laptop with a disk drive unless you want to replace your WHOLE collection (only applies to Mac's)

Re: Best laptop for gameplay with all expansions and stuff packs?
Thanks for that hahah, I wouldn't know where to start. I have an external disc drive though that connects via USB port, would I be able to use that on a Mac or don't they have USB ports?
Re: Best laptop for gameplay with all expansions and stuff packs?
The Mac's all have USB ports
MacBook Air has NO disc drive
MacBook Pro does have a disc drive
Mac Mini DOESN'T have a disc drive
iMac does
If you needed an external disc drive make sure It's "Mac compatible"
I don't think I'd recommend a MacBook Air as it has no disc drive and integrated graphics.
The 13 inch MacBook Pro has integrated graphics as well. If you wanted to get a MacBook Pro your best bet would be a 15 or 17 inch model which are over your 1000 pound budget.

I might just get and iMac then, saves me all he hassle! Thanks KingJerry, I appreciate it
Re: Best laptop for gameplay with all expansions and stuff packs?
I think the 21 would be more appropriate, takes up less space, and is cheaper. Still expensive though!
Re: Best laptop for gameplay with all expansions and stuff packs?
I swear I've just replied to this post! Oh well! I wrote a 21inch one cause its smaller. Check your messages!
Re: Best laptop for gameplay with all expansions and stuff packs?
Mac Mini is basically a TINY desktop, but you would need a monitor/mouse/keyboard.
The cheapest one is about 500 pounds, however it has integrated graphics.
The more expensive model is 700 pounds. It has a MUCH better graphics card but only around 250mb of very speedy memory.
Both have no disc drive.
The iMac would be an excellent choice with a great processor and a good amount of RAM. Decent graphics cards aswell It starts at 1000 pounds.
The screen is built into the computer meaning you would only have to purchase a keyboard and mouse to go with it. The only problem with it is that it's not very portable.
That was my original post but I think you must have accidentally edited it instead of replying to it

Re: Best laptop for gameplay with all expansions and stuff packs?
Lmao, I'm so stupid haha. Yeah that was the post. I've baffled myself yet again!
Re: Best laptop for gameplay with all expansions and stuff packs?
Lol, your not stupid, mistakes happen So when are you getting your new Mac anyway?
Re: Best laptop for gameplay with all expansions and stuff packs?
Well, when I say I'm 18 soon I mean in August! Haha, its always good to plan early! If not in August, probably at Christmas, I can wait!
Re: Best laptop for gameplay with all expansions and stuff packs?
By then the new iMacs should be out, and you'll be getting more for your money.
Even if a new one isn't coming out, you'll still be getting a great computer

Re: Best laptop for gameplay with all expansions and stuff packs?
What computer do you have? I'm really excited to get one, I've been looking at them every time I go in the Apple store. They think I'm crazy cause I'm in there practically every week buzzing over the same computer!
Re: Best laptop for gameplay with all expansions and stuff packs?
I have a Medion Akoya X6 304 D. Excellent computer, got it for 400 quid because it was the last of their stock and it was down from 580
Re: Best laptop for gameplay with all expansions and stuff packs?
Oooo I guess you were lucky then! I've just looked it up on Google, it looks nice too!
Re: Best laptop for gameplay with all expansions and stuff packs?
What size is the screen on your laptop just now? Jumping up to a 21.5 inch screen will be quite a difference (believe me, at first it looks HUGE lol!)
Re: Best laptop for gameplay with all expansions and stuff packs?
I'm not sure TBH lol, here's a pic of what it looks like though:
Re: Best laptop for gameplay with all expansions and stuff packs?
I have an HP Notebook myself. It runs the game ok. A little slow with loading, and it lags for about 5 minutes in the beginning then runs pretty smooth. I don't have any stuff packs on it, and I can't run WA very well. I have every other EP on here for TS3 though. I also have a LOT of CC and 3 mods, so that kills the loading time as well. Still I think it runs pretty well being a laptop and not a desktop.
